Licence, bonus terms and withdrawal speed decide whether a site deserves your first £20. I tested the Casino Hermes online casino with a £20 Visa debit deposit, read the bonus terms in full and requested a PayPal withdrawal. The site holds a UKGC licence, caps bonus wagering at 10x and paid my PayPal request within a day.
Casino Hermes Casino Review: Licence, Games and Support
Casino Hermes operates under a UKGC licence. You can confirm that by searching the operator name on the Gambling Commission public register. The library covers slots, roulette, blackjack, baccarat and game shows from NetEnt, Play'n GO, Pragmatic Play and Evolution. Live chat runs 24 hours a day, and my question about wagering got a clear answer in under two minutes.
Registration takes about three minutes. You enter your name, address, date of birth and mobile number, and Casino Hermes checks your identity against UK records before you play. If the check fails, upload a passport or driving licence, because withdrawals stay blocked until your ID clears.

| Minimum deposit | £10 |
| Bonus wagering | 10x bonus |

Casino Hermes Casino UK Bonuses and Promotions
Casino Hermes matches your first deposit 100% up to £100 and adds 50 free spins on Book of Dead. A £20 deposit gives you £20 in bonus funds, and the 10x wagering requirement means you wager £200 before you can withdraw the bonus. Free spin winnings carry the same 10x requirement. A site with 35x terms would ask you to wager £700 on the same £20, so 10x gives you a realistic chance of clearing it.
| Offer | Details | Wagering | Min deposit |
| Welcome bonus | 100% up to £100 + 50 free spins | 10x | £20 |
| Weekly cashback | 10% of net losses, up to £50 | 10x | £10 |
| Friday free spins | 20 spins on a selected slot | 10x | £10 |
Casino Hermes caps your stake at £5 per spin while bonus funds are active, and some slots are excluded. Check the list on the promotions page before you play, because a spin on an excluded game does not count towards wagering.
Casino Hermes Online Casino UK Payment Methods
The cashier accepts Visa and Mastercard debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Open Banking transfers through Faster Payments, and Pay by Phone (Boku). UK law has banned credit cards for gambling since 2020, so the cashier rejects them. Casino Hermes charges no fee on deposits or withdrawals.
| Method | Min deposit | Withdrawals | Processing time |
| Visa / Mastercard debit | £10 | Yes, from £10 | Deposit at once, withdrawal 1 to 3 working days |
| PayPal | £10 | Yes, from £10 | Deposit at once, withdrawal within 24 hours |
| Open Banking (Faster Payments) | £10 | Yes, from £10 | Deposit at once, withdrawal within 1 working day |
| Apple Pay | £10 | Deposits only | At once |
| Pay by Phone (Boku) | £10 | Deposits only | At once, £30 daily cap |
Debit cards and PayPal accept up to £5,000 per transaction. Pay by Phone adds the deposit to your phone bill or deducts it from your credit balance, and you cannot withdraw to it. Casino Hermes sends withdrawals back to the method you deposited with, so link PayPal or a debit card if you want your cashout quickly.
Slots, Live Casino and Table Games
Open the Casino Hermes casino lobby and slots take up most of the screen, with Book of Dead, Starburst and Big Bass Bonanza near the top. Evolution supplies the live tables, including Lightning Roulette, Blackjack and Crazy Time. Mega Moolah is the progressive jackpot to know, but its 88.12% RTP sits well below the 96% most slots return. UK rules ban autoplay and turbo spins, so every spin takes at least 2.5 seconds.
| Game | Provider | RTP | Type |
| Book of Dead | Play'n GO | 96.21% | Slot |
| Starburst | NetEnt | 96.09% | Slot |
| Big Bass Bonanza | Pragmatic Play | 96.71% | Slot |
| Lightning Roulette | Evolution | 97.30% | Live roulette |
| Mega Moolah | Microgaming | 88.12% | Progressive jackpot |
Safety, Licensing and Responsible Gambling
The UKGC requires Casino Hermes to run independent audits on its random number generators and to tell you how it protects your balance. SSL encryption protects your data, and you can switch on two-factor authentication in your account settings. In the cashier you can set deposit, loss and session limits, turn on reality checks, or take a time-out from 24 hours up to six weeks.
GamStop self-exclusion blocks your account on every UKGC-licensed site, and BeGambleAware offers free advice and tools. If gambling is hurting your finances or your mood, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133.
Loyalty and VIP Programme
You earn points on every real-money wager, and you swap points for bonus funds or free spins. Higher tiers bring a personal account manager, faster withdrawal reviews and invitations to tournaments with fixed prize pools. VIP offers carry the same 10x wagering as the standard bonuses.
Mobile Casino Experience
Casino Hermes runs in Safari and Chrome on iPhone and Android, so you install nothing. The cashier, live chat and full game library work in portrait mode. On a 4G connection, Lightning Roulette streamed without buffering during my test. Add the site to your home screen if you want an app-style shortcut.
Customer Support
Live chat answers 24/7, and email replies arrive within a few hours. The site has no phone line, which becomes the one gap you notice when a withdrawal stalls and you want a person on the other end.
